Welcome news for NHS Practices.
Have you applied for access to free PPE this winter? The government’s new second wave strategy will allow NHS dental practices access to free PPE helping NHS contractors meet their needs.
Practices should apply through the PPE portal which will have an expanded product range to include aprons, groves, visors, masks and hand hygiene products. Items such as respirator masks are also due to be included from this month.
There will be a limit on how much you can order, depending on the size of your practice, however this will increase in line with demand and is welcome news for NHS practices.
Each of the nations has its own supply chain operation for PPE and is responsible for ensuring distribution within Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England. Each nation will have its own strategy; this strategy covers England.
