Claire is qualified both as a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA).
She joined Dodd & Co in November 2006. In 2017 she became chair of the ICAEW Healthcare Group and when her term ended remained on the committee as their technical adviser.
Claire is responsible for professional partnerships, particularly the medical and dental professions and is able to advise on alternative structures for these types of businesses and in particular the taxation issues surrounding mergers and joint ventures. Claire has extensive knowledge of the NHS pension scheme and in particular the annual allowance calculations and lifetime allowance calculations.
In her spare time, Claire enjoys a range of sports including running, cycling and swimming, also acting as coach to the Eden Runners Juniors and a timekeeper at athletics and cross country events held all over the country.
